Warm Waterproof Trousers

Trousers arrived today all the way from sunny Edinburgh less than 24hrs after I made the call

It was like slipping into the bottom half of a teddy bear suit !

The pockets are fleece lined too & they are a good fit if a tad long in the leg (I will turn them up)

No long johns under these bad boys for the journey up ! :)

Will see how the DWR treatment performs when we are oot & aboot ! 👍

My berghaus event fabric over trousers have full length side zips and vented pockets and can be taken off/put on in about 30 seconds. They have pass though zipped pockets which work as vents and a vents as well so don’t get too hot but do keep you dry.

craghopper summer kiwi trousers are breathable and dry really quickly if they do get wet and I could wear a base layer under them if I wanted.

Running leggings take up no room, are warm and can be worn as spare trousers in camp either on their own or under the over trousers if it’s wet. They are also comfy to sleep in if it’s a bit chilly.

I tend to go with relatively light weight breeks like the thin Craghopper's, rarely do I have LJ's on underneath. As you say, they dry out quick and if I'm wearing fouly bottoms (not a condition) I tend to get too warm. Its the sitting around that

With you too on a set of Ronhills as a spare pair of breeks for the same reasons. A bit off topic but I have Ronhills in my bag of dry clothes/towel in the car.

Balls, that needs an edit. it shoud read "it's the sitting around that gets you cold, not moving around"

I'll get me coat.

It really depends on the weather I think.
I generally wear cargo type trousers if it's dry, thinner Craghopper style if warm and those + waterproofs if wet. If cold and wet then ski trousers. If very cold, thermals + ski trousers.
