Mountain Warehouse slowly tries to get on the German market.

Yesterday I came along such a shop, and so I ask you, if there is something special I should have a look at.

I’ve found most of their kit to be reasonable and good value for money.

In the past I’ve bought kids boots, socks, gloves, fleeces, kids ski ware and it’s all been pretty good, similar levels to decathlon in my view.

More interested in budget clothing with some budget oriented gear as well. Always the shops seem to be offering some deal, but not so often stocked!

There jackets are reasonable. Got the wife one for winter and it’s very warm...

Thank you for the informations!

Because I had to buy a pullover, I bought it there, interesting combination of cotton with fleece lining, in the old sailors stile.

I will see, if that's good. Seems to be made more for town and car than hiking, looking very good.

Because I bought it, they offered me merino socks for half the price. Which I didn't try out yet.

But see:

This are copied Ulfrotte Woolpower socks!

They cost originally 17€. For 8,50 € that seems a good price.

Its like Sports Direct but for campers. Never buy at full price, its really just a clearance chain of stores and prices drop all the time. Don't expect great quality, remember you 'get what you pay for'

Except that Sports Direct don't actually sell anything, know what they have in stock or know anything about their stock, or answer any queries, or..blah, bitter blah...angry blah......

Right:)…. that's that for now...….unless someone mentions them again

Breathe out, nice...........

"You get what you pay for"???
Usually that's not right any more.

Decathlon Steppe 300 trousers for 17€ are better made than Fjällräven trousers for 140€ or Pine Wood Sahara convertible trousers for 80€.

Now a days one has to be informed or try out the stuff.

Sports Direct bought Field and Trek...F&T used to be a serious store now it stocks a lot of tut and tat. That said SD have some good offers on boots if you still use them (boots that is).

Primark is worth going to, they often have some outdoor stuff, I got Craghoppers shirts for and trousers at a massive discount

My £8 British army lightweight trousers or £25 genuine Helikon M65 trousers are better than Fjallraven trews.

There are some walking around with 18 inch turn ups ........ Bought a few T shirts from them.
