September Galloway Forest camp

@Stephen and I had a wee overnighter down in Galloway Forest last night.
Cracking 22deg sunny weather for September
We did some fishing and Stephen caught one (species yet to be identified)

I was thinking Perch too, maybe the lack of stripes is a local variation?

We don’t get zander up this way buddy. Defo a perch and not a bad size at that. The lack of strips could be a number of things. Cold water, size of the fish. Or it could just be the camera

No midges! Their season must be over. Some pesky flies at the water but not nearly as annoying as the midges.

aye it was a grand ole spot, we need to find a better way to get down to the water but it was a pain in the backside getting down
