Hi Guys, I’m new to the site so thought I would share a previous bushcraft trip with you with the promise of more to follow. Me and my mate Kev took a trip up to the Galloway forest for a 2 night stay at Loch Trool. The weather was great for the first day but took a turn for the worse on the second however we battled through as any good wild camper would do even though we were faced with 16 hours of solid rain and bog. Didn’t get any pictures of the bad weather parts as we were too occupied with staying dry 😂.

This is me sat chilling on my bushcraft chair, surprisingly comfortable considering I was sitting on sticks.

The old No 7 went down a treat, probably went down a bit too well 😂

The spot was on a kind of bluff, we were surrounded by water on 3 sides, felt like we were on an island.

Sounds blissful to me buddy👍🏻 I was having a nosey at you first picture, what kind of knife is that ? Looks like a custom handle? Sorry av got a thing with knives, it’s healthy tho

It’s a Muele knife, a Spanish Bowie knife with deer antler handle. It was my dad’s and he passed it onto me. I really like it although I think a drop nose knife would be better for my needs. I’m considering getting a condor bushlore knife, I really like the solid wood handles, I’ve got a bit of a thing for wood, my girlfriend calls me earthy 😂
