morning

Morning folks, Sunny and a good dry day forecast so off on the bike for the day. I sense that riding around for pleasure may get a little restricted for us in the not too distant future.
The machine gun towers on the bridges over the River Severn seem to be working, but THEY are coming over the land border to the North...More mine fields are needed I think................

Not too bad here, I'm going to do a bit of firewood and also try to weld some brackets on to the supports in my barn so that I can hang a new wall off them next week when the red lead paint has dried.

its pm...............how come we are here?

it's an alternative universe................

Afternoon all, bit late today, missus is off for her birthday and had to take a dug in for half eight for an xray which knocked everything 10 left. Took the boy off for a different walk, took a few phots, hope I can upload them. Takeaway tonight as a birthday treat and the lucky lady gets to watch the mighty Dundee play Hearts on the BBC Scotland channel. I know what you're thinking, that I spoil the lassie but she's been behaving lately and I'm a bit of a soft touch.... 😂

I know it's about a week ago but someone mentioned Bovril. So I thought yes it's a while since I had Bovril so I bought a box of 12 cubes. First thing the wife said was "have you seen how much salt is in them?" Wow! 32% salt. Have to use them sparingly!

Aye, they're not a 'healthy option', braw with pepper or a wee nip of chilli sauce, you don't need much. I know folk at the football who ADD salt to them. 😱

Pffft Chilli sauce......and I thought you were a Scotsman. The Murrayfield Bovril is the way to go. Just add a small Whiskey to warm the cockles while watching the Rugby.

Despite my love of the falling over juice, I'm not a spirit drinker, that's a waste of good bovril to me. :)

Chillax day at home today......nothing at all planned apart from a walk down the beach with the "Eddster Dog"
Going to wash the little bugger when we get back.....proper stankin he is :D
He is 9 months old now.......where did THAT time go

Hope you all have a good one

Mornin' all,

Bloody hell Bill, as you say, where did the time go, it doesn't seem that long since you got him. Hope you got a good kip last night Joe.

Not sure what we're doing today, Cinderella is still in her scratcher so not had my orders although as we've still got a dug on light duties I can't see us going for a long walk. Plenty foozbaal on this afty though so if my many services are required then she better be quick about it..... Around the allotment I mean, get your mind's out the gutter.

Should really start getting my gear together for next weekends walk too, make sure everything is as it should be. Smurf popped round yesterday to get a few bits and bobs to stash at his missus's house which we'll be passing enroute and if Wee Jimmy sticks to her word, the pubs should be open again on the monday. :) It won't be Hadrians Wall but at least we'll be out, living like the overgrown kids we are.

Hope you all have a good one.

Hope your woofer is back on form soon Bam and off of light duties......poor buggers cant tell us how THEY feel :(.....although those eyes say a lot.
Thought never crossed my mind re the servicing mate :rofl:
"Over grown kids" :D .........never a truer word........still full of fun and adventure.....and long may it continue:thumbsup::rofl:
Prepping for a trip like yours is half the fun......look forward to reading the write up........plenty of photees...............ken?

Looking like arthritis for the dug, she's on pain killers and the vet is getting a second opinion from the 'supervet' that did her operation on it about 18 months back. The hard bit is trying to stop her running on it too much, we'll just have to do what we can.

I'll do my best on the phots, Smurf is only taking his phone too, he's the boy who usually does all the phots and that for his blog thing. I'll see if I can tease him out of retirement to post some up here too.
