Hello All

Just tried to google Aonar ann an coille - spell checker and Oogle threw a wobbler!😆

Are you a Teuchter Forest Wanders?

So you were a pied piper? (Or a rubber duck?).
I don’t envy you Osnatraz but at least it was a base to explore from.

I too spent time at Sennelager (remember the WW2 hanging post?)..

By the time one of my lads served over there they were winding it all down and he didn’t get to enjoy it the way we did.
Not sure how I’d fancy postings to what used to be the Eastern Bloc in its place?
I was .... 64 Amphibious Engineer Squadron , then went to become an brikkie and in true Army style they then posted me to an Armoured Engineer Regiment  .

Osnabruck wasn't so bad to be fair , I was a pad by then so lived off camp ....

Anywhere over there would have suited me. I did 13 Sigs and 21 Engr Rgt.
I enjoyed the standard of living, the various fests - wine/beer/RoseMontag/Schuetzen Fest etc and THE PETROL COUPONS! plus the advantage of already being across the channel when holidaying South!
