My cousin ask me to make the nephew a money pocket for when there at the markets… not an easy design for an amateur lol … just antiquing it at the moment, also a first lol

That's a cracking bit of craftwork/leatherwork Mark......absolutely spot on
Liking the sewn patch and tooling.......that carousel horse is the mutts nuts.
Nice matching and tooled belt too :)

Lot of time and effort gone into that......you and your Nephew must be proper chuffed!!

Thanks for sharing mate.....always a pleasure to see your work.

Cheers bill 😁 thankfully I tested the antiquing on some scrap first lol… it can go horribly wrong really quick lol

A unique piece Mark......he is going to be the "Bee's Knees" at the markets now :)

Talking of Markets 🤔 could be a possible outlet for your work:)

@Ark79

Perhaps quick and easy items for the markets to start off with Mark.

Things like card wallets.....minimalist wallets......dog leads and collars....Simple belts....key fobs and the likes are all popular
In your kit there are a few "Blackriver Templates"......more available in the link I have posted.
These templates are invaluable to a crafter and make life so much easier.....far better and more accurate than most you can make yourself.....good investment....last for years.
Might be a couple amongst them that you may like and give ideas for items to sell.

You can keep up with the more elaborate costly items in between ;)

Maybe start with 3/5 of each of only 5 different items.....see how they sell......and go from there.

Might be worth getting some cheap and cheerful cards printed with whatever contact information you would like on them.
Specify on them that you are happy to take on commissioned projects and offer a price on consultation.
Hand them out with everything you sell

Just a thought for you mate......you have the skills.....good luck with it mate.

Cheers bill that was very helpful mate 👍🏻 Much appreciated.

Will have a look at the link in more detail when I have a little time to myself 😁 there’s some templets you gave me that I haven’t looked through so that’s another thing I have to get done lol

You are very welcome mate......good to know it was useful to you

Time and quiet is perhaps the most problematic ingredient with it all Mark.
Having a young family...... and life in general.....it can be hard to find the time to do anything.

You mentioned back aways that you were thinking of adding another shed to the garden for use as a workshop.....sanctuary.
Are you still going ahead with that?.......there is always the loft I suppose.......with a retractable ladder :rofl:

😂 yes time is very problematic 😂

The new shed is on hold buddy as me and Sharon are thinking on moving home, it’s becoming more apparent that we’ve outgrown this one …. Or the boy is getting shipped to the army 😂😂 do him good 🤔😂

Sounds like you need a new home in a 3 acre woodland Mark ......just saying like🤭.....no ulterior motive attached you understand😇

It's not all it's cracked up to be when it's 24-7 Mark. That is one of the reasons that we're thinking of downsizing.

The chance for me to have that is passed by unfortunately lol… 24-7 sounds just about right to me Mike ….I would love it …very hard work but satisfying work I bet 👍🏻
