Can you recommend any shtf survival type movies? NOT the home made prepper movies, but real movies that are fun to watch.
Keith.

yes, that was a good movie.
also if you can watch the original bbc series of "survivors", much better than the later politically correct 2nd series.

Watch the revenant with Leonardo decaprio excellent movie there's not much dialogue in it but that works well with the plot:thumbsup:

I have to admit that I was not impressed with this movie, too many mistakes. I suppose that is the problem with being knowledgeable about a certain period, you can't help but see all the mistakes! I must watch it again some time & try to ignore the details & just enjoy it for what it is. After the shift to more authenticity in the latest Last Of The Mohicans (though there were mistakes made in this one too), my expectations were high for the Revenant.

There's a good film with tommy lee jones called the hunted it's more survival than preper...but still a good movie

haven't seen that one yet i'll look out for it.
welcome to the forum mate.

The Day After is a bit dated, & set in the USA, but interesting to watch just the same. Shows panic buying at the supermarket!

The bit where they tried to catch the Sheep was so realistic, and is exactly how people with no experience of livestock or hunting would behave.
Lesson: do not go and get mates who run at animal waving arms and shouting.

movies are good for relaxation but I would never base my survival on them.

Yes - don't think anyone is suggesting anyone bases their survival upon it.

But as most of Prepping is related to an unanswered 'What If?' type question and as shtf survival type movies tend to be fantasy based 'What If' they can be useful tools for exploring scenarios.
