Been mulling over selling one of the cars.....we do not really need two now 🤔

Been thinking about..... and having fun..... researching the possibility of e-bike's to pop into town.....go fishing......or just go for a ride with a lunch or coffee at the end of it......and enjoy the outdoors 🙂

They would come in very handy for the van to when Lorraine and I are out and about in it.

There are so many out there to choose from.......the folding types are at the forefront.......styles and makes abound.
Looking at something with a 30 mile range.
A fair amount of accessories are available.....wrack bags....panniers......phone holders.....water bottles etc etc.

Even found a seat with back support (Highback) :)

Cheap to run and maintain.

Anybody on the forum use one?.......what have you got?......do you enjoy the freedom of it?

They are certainly better now than 5 years ago. People up the road had their garage burn down when the battery and charger went wrong. One of my diving buddies has a nice one. I will ask him the make etc.

Bugger....that's not good Dick.

I think it pays to be wary of some of the Chinese imports....from what I have read they are not too clever with safety........ nor the manufacturing :(
We have our eye on a "British" company at the moment......reviews and feedback for their bikes seem very good......including customer care and after sales.
Being a family run business we think they will be a good bet.

Be interested hear your mates views on the e-bikes.

Might be worth getting in touch with one of the companies that rents them by the day at the various holiday hotshots to see what they recommend. Worth a punt.

Funny you mention that Manny......we had a chat while on holl's with an English guy now living and working in Spain.
He was hiring out Ebikes over there.......big heavy things with really chunky tyres.
Not seen many that rent out the folding bikes.....locally near home.

The Internet and You Tube has been a huge help to us whilst browsing. 🙂

If you have a local Halfords they do free, no obligation trials of electric bikes, they also have a reasonable range of styles and prices. Once you know what you want you can search for the cheapest deal.

So many memes going through my head at the moment 😂 I will resist 😂

My old boss had one, have no idea of the make tho …. Hope you find the right one bill 👍🏻

@Madriverrob

Thanks for the link Rob  we need folding bikes to best suit both of us.....lightweight and easy to store....pack away.
I have ordered one that I think will suit us.......SWMBO will try mine when it arrives.....if she likes it and can get on with it we will order her the same one

What have you gone for .....

What have you gone for .....

Opted for the "Estarli e20 Pro".......built in the U.K. by a family run business.
Reviews are positive and contact with them has been brilliant......questions and emails answered very promptly.
After sales and customer care..... also being praised by customers.

Little bit about it here:

2/3 week lead time.

Look Good .... Bromptonesqe

My mate has just done a coast to coast return on a Brompton

Yes the Bromptons seem to be very popular Rob.....and very capable too......a well earned reputation.
I have watched several videos of a lady rider who travels miles on her Brompton on some epic journeys......camping and wild camping......train and boat travel too.
A lot of accessories available to customise the bike as much or as little as a rider needs or wants.

Did your mate use a Brompton folder on his trip?

Yes mate .... not electric though
