Planting 2022!

Well done Mark it looks really healthy. How are your tomato plants doing? You'll need to start picking out the side shoots soon

Cheers joe 👍🏻 There starting to flower so hopefully tomatoes soon. I picked some of the side shoots but not sure how far up the stock I should go

You say side shoots Mark, the ones I'm referring to are the little shoots growing between the main stem and the branches coming off it

Oh I get you know joe . Can I still remove them or have I left it too late?

Take them out at any time, we call them elbows. My wife lets them grow a bit then picks them out and sometimes puts them in water and they root themselves to make another plant.

Roasted beetroot for tea!

Black currents and raspberries at the moment, we should also have a good apple crop later in the year.

Strawberries have just finished here and Autumn raspberries will be ready later. Two apple trees (Worcester Pearmain) are heavy with fruit and the pea row is producing well.

I would say the little dog has been pissing on it Mark.....poor little sod has keeled over to 🤭🤣

That’s a new one on me, the weird thing is that it looks like a really healthy plant…do you remember what variety you planted? Corn and maise are also really greedy feeders, maybe there wasn’t enough nutrients in the soil? Beyond that I have no idea why they wouldn’t create any ears.

I’m sure it’s sweat corn Mike , tho the little card that reminds me what they are is long gone lol …. There are signs of the cob growing but not what they should be 🤷🏼‍♂️
