Just thought it polite to make a brief introduction of myself.
I'm 55 years young and can't remember a time when I haven't been a camper/wildcamper etc. Never really considered myself a 'bushcrafter' but the more I read about various skills and pastimes, the more I think I probably am.
A small syndicate of like minded people have leased 13 acres of lincolnshire woodland for, well whatever really. We've had a couple of meet ups there, done a few solo overnighters etc. Its nice not to have to be stealthy and not to worry about someone turning up and asking you to move on.
I'm hoping to learn from this group and, hopefully, to make some usefull contributions.
Cheers guys, Neil.

Welcome to the forum Neil, sounds like you've got a good footing into the outdoors and a great place to practice, or just hang out, speaking of hanging, do you hammock, ground dwell or both ?

Hi there and welcome to the forum!
There is a rather thin line between Bushcrafting, Forestwalking, Camping and whatever. No need to make distinctions, let's rather look at what we all have in common: The love for the outdoors. :)

Hammock, bivvy, tent, cave, hollow tree I can settle anywhere really.

Greetings Poacher63, can you tell us a bit more about your wooland how you set it up organisationally and legally.
Hi, a friend of a friend heard about an opportunity to take a lease on a piece of woodland and carried out negotiations with the landowner. Once they came to an agreement on usage and cost etc a deal was struck. Membership is by invitation or recommendations only, luckily for me my mate put me forward and I was accepted. The yearly fee each member pays allows them, their family and friends to use the woods as much as they like.
We have had a few working weekends in there just getting things tidied up. There is a composting toilet and a fair sized stream/river runs alongside the wood.

Sounds like a good arrangement you guys have.
Have you any pictures you would like to share with us........we are a nosey bunch.
Having a water source is a huge bonus.
