BBQ after work

Nice weather today. Hitting around 22/23 braw lol. So the plan was hatched asked the misses to go and get some fish from the fish munger and surprise me with what kind. Well £32 later she brought monkfish home. So after work the BBQ was lit and an hour later I had my first cook and taste of monkfish. And man was it worth the money. Almost as good as lobster must say I cooked it to perfection (I think lol)

Scampie ....Oh now there is something I haven’t had in years. It’s on the shopping list...good shout bill also heard the saying today. Poor mans lobster

Both doing fine bill thanks for asking mate. Little one may have reflux and milk allergies like her big sister but nothing we haven’t dealt with before. Trip to boots sorted that out lol. Ehem I am Also fine by the way

Was mate Garlic sounds nice. A marinated it in soya, oil , Fish seasoning, then cajin mix when it was on the barby. A think I will try it with steak next time. Surf and turf

Any barbecued fish is nice mate but for me its mackerel every time

First time iv cooked fish on the bbq mate. Well apart from prawns. Mackerel sounds nice joe. If I remember right it’s rather oily. Should go well with a chilly marinade. Will have to give it a go

Yes Mark it is an oily fish and very good for you

Cold peppered Mackerel is nice too with a bit of salad

Need to enjoy the BBQ and the weather while it lasts

It's humid and overcast down here Jeff

It must be high teens low 20's at the moment with blue skies, makes a change

Sun is shining....Weather is sweet.... can’t wait to finish work and get the bbq on. hot Chicken and burgers tonight

It went all round us Jeff but somehow we were sitting in an area that it went round

Done food burnt, kids fed ,full belly ,feet up

Different story down here yesterday.....overcast and rain/hail.
