I see in your posts, that a lot of you use cotton tents.
I grew up in them and I know about the comfort of this tents, off course, and I own the german boy scout tent "Kohte", that is a lavvu for 6 persons in four portable parts, where I can light a well sized fire inside, and that is the main reason for me to use a cotton tent now a days.
(If you are interested, you can see it at YouTube in the video "Kohtenaufbau auf Zeit" it costs round about 500€ by the way. Perhaps somebody is able to integrate this 5 minutes video here, unfortunately I can't do this.)
But I see, that you use cotton tents which you can't heat with an open fire.
Do You use them, because you own them since decades, and they simply don't brake?
Do you prefere them because British people usually are very traditional, and especially you?
Or do you use them, because you don't get any problems with condensation inside?
Or what are the reasons, why you use this traditional types of tents?
