Me again.

Managed a couple of nice groups with the Walther P22 Target this morning, while shooting 50X Aguila Super Extra subsonic hollowpoints (two groups followed by the overall spread).

Then put 18X Fiocchi 148-grain wadcutters through the .357 Magnum (blue dots):

Finally, 15X Sellier & Bellot 124-grain FMJs through the Browning Hi-Power. Got a halfway-decent group too... :)

It could be pulling the trigger too fast, rather than squeezing, or overgripping with me right hand. Perhaps a bit of both. It's annoying, and something I'm still working on. Don't think it's flinching, since that would normally pull the shots low and right, me being right-handed.

One of the problems I have (cue incoming from the Spockster ) is that I have big hands and long fingers. So it's actually quite difficult to bend my index finger around to use the pad of my index finger on the trigger. The trigger falls naturally between the end and middle joints of my index finger. That tends to put sideways pressure on the trigger, I think. This is most noticeable on the P22, which has very small grips. Less so with the revolver, now that I've added Hogue grips, and the Model 19 has quite a large frame and large trigger guard anyway, so I can get the pad of my finger on the trigger.

With the Hi-Power, I tend to grip it too hard because I'm anticipating the recoil and trying to control it.

I guess I need some training to get rid of my bad habits... or perhaps just a good slapping.

Recoil from 9mm? What recoil?

Suggestion for you is to see if you can get Lyman 358429 bullets from somewhere, that should help with the Model 19. For the Browning have you tried the weaver grip? It's isometric pressure to decrease recoil.

Big hands never stopped Bill Jordan from putting on quick draw and precision shooting exhibitions.

This from the wimp who shoots a .380. :p

Can't find Lyman bullets in France, just reloading bits and pieces. Which bullets are they, semi-wadcutters or something?

I've tried all sorts of grips with the Browning, except holding it on its side, gang-banger stylee. I'll be trying that next week.

And .45 acp,.38 spl,.357 magnum,.44 magnum,etc,etc...;)

A venerable design crafted by the sage of Idaho Elmer Merrifield Keith. It gives good accuracy in my guns,it prefers a heavier powder charge to a lighter one. I'd search for a place in France for you to buy it,but I don't speak froggy.

Well, you'd better learn, cos it looks like the Publicans don't have any candidates with bigger cojones than your favourite dame, good ol' Hillary, so you'll be needing to relocate to a more lenient gun-owning environment quite soon. ;)

Here's a poster you can use to stick on those "Vote Hillary" signs you'll soon be required by law to put up by the roadside... :)

I don't know Ted Cruz and Rand Paul are giving her some heat. She's provided enough ammo for her enemies they can shoot at her for a long time. Only hope she has is the republicans getting bored with an easy target.

Americans won't flee into exile,we'll just invade another country. ;)
