Obviously I am new to the sport, and I am learning things all the time. One of the most beneficial things I have discovered is how relaxing this new pass-time of mine is. Whether it be concentrating and controlling my breathing while plinking at targets, or being as quiet as possible while stalking on the permission. Spending a couple of hours doing either or both after works seems to really chill me out.

Isn't this pass time of ours strange ? When you first start you get yourself a decent, or very cheap plinker. After a while you look on the net and read the shooting press and see rifles priced at £900 +..................and you think "hey, thats not bad".

Easily done! I know mine wasn't cheap, I have been out on the range out the back shooting 105m today, View attachment 12539 I was quite pleased:D I choose to ignore CH who says that's not a proper group.

That's not a proper group... :p

Still, you managed to hit a four-inch target at 105 metres, allegedly, so I'll grudgingly admit that you can shoot a bit... maybe... ;)

That is cracking shooting tds.

Going back to what Chewy initially posted. Yes it is a wonderful sport/pass time for clearing ones head. It was the one escape I had where I could stop worrying about my wife's future when she was diagnosed with, and undergoing treatment for breast cancer. I know we guys are crap at multi-tasking, but when I'm shooting it takes up all my concentration and with only two brain cells, that is some concentration I'll tell ya. After a day shooting at the range, it was and still is, like coming home refreshed and at peace.
