Walking in the woods today and found sweet chestnut already blowing off the trees.

That picture brings back horrible memories and nightmares Dick:rofl::rofl::rofl: Autumn is well and truly setting in up here in the south east
 
Off out for a walk with Lorraine.....not a bad day here.....will go prepared for the rain though :thumbsup::D

I might take my camera up into the woods later Bill, no real sign of rain here but like you I'll be prepared
 
We made it back!! :eek::D

Drove over to Budleigh Salterton and parked up at the end.
There is a nice walk that runs along the banks of the river Otter.....flat and even going.

The marshes are quite sizeable and have a huge array of wild birds in amoungst it.

Fair amount of water in here when the tides flood in.

About two and a half miles up the track there is an old Mill.....still working.......this was our goal for breakfast and coffee.:thumbsup:

We bought some flour that is produced at the Mill to make some bread at home.

Last of all my reward from Lorraine for making the trek.........it was a bribe.......she knows I cant resist Eggs and Bacon:rofl::rofl:.....all locally source produce:thumbsup:

Spot on bill. Looks like you and your lovely wife had a good time. The river and the fish are making my mouth water:thumbsup: a could fish all day there mate :D
 
It is a lovely stretch Mark.
Saw a couple of guys with rods.....one was using a small Muppet I think.
Some nice little pebble beach areas on the banks too.....ideal for a small tent:rolleyes::sneaky::D

great photos mate, the bird in the fourth picture looks to be a very rare breed and definitely adds a touch of class:D:D:D:D
