Hi Guys

Thanks for having me on, been shooting air rifles, target only for a number of years, just added a Brocock Hunter to my collection, in the process of fixing her up, she was in a right sorry state, wrong stock, no safety, no trigger, damaged fill connector, you name it she had it either missing or broken. Quite a challenge as most of the parts are no longer available.

I anyone can help me with manuals, drawing instructions or even where i can get parts it would be much appreciated.

Thanks again

John

Welcome aboard!

There are some knowledgable types on here who may be able to help. Are you a target tart or a bunny basher? :)

Hi John,

Blind Bambi on the bits but welcome to the Blah.

We have a couple of other buddies from Naar**** where abouts are you.
If it's a secret to protect the innocent no worries.

Strewth an Wood Elf,

Thetford forest, the largest man made forest in Europe that inc Frog..
We are on the edge of the Forest within half a mile Shouldham. I drive through Thetford lots it's on the way to Stowlangtoft Suffolk.
Reminds me of that cartoon of the Sheep going Booram woo etc or similar.
The best thing is to find out if creepy buddies have their own gun and pellets before you invite them round.
Even if they don't have a gun, nothing stopping them from buying their own pellets is there really!!

Handy,

Didn't mean you Buddy..It was a bit close to home, you can have as many of my pellets as you like.
By nature I don't have a generous disposition, I'm sure the wife would have mentioned that.
To be honest, I would rather have your company than the pellets.
Lending kit is hard defo would not a son in law but you are ok.

Right outside the gate this morn in the grass was stonking new fancy Mob jobby. It still had the protective peel off film attached, about the same size as a Tablet, real complicated and too smart for me. Managed to get into the menu and there were the cutest baby pictures and her Dad's number.
So I belled her Dad and at about 4pm today Mob and owner were united again Ahhh.
Blahed she did, she'd placed it on the roof of it's motor, when it strapped it's babe in, it fell off on the corner. Not a mark like in that Arnold Predator film, when he'd bin through the whole war with "Not a Fecking Scratch". Her name was Emily a lovely happy young lady. Thought she would never see her baby pic's again. Brings a tear don't it.
That's a nice story and the sought of bloke I really am..So don't be too harsh over my silly thread about pellets..

I would rather you didn't buy your own pellets, I really don't want you to use that much..

Quick update, on my project, some of the parts i require arrived today, so have started dis-assembling the gun i am taking pictures at every point as i have no drawings or manual, several screws are missing and several treads are damaged, so in the process of re-tapping all the threads as a i go measuring and ordering new screws. I am in the process of making a replacement trigger as the original was also missing. i will start posting pictures soon.

In the meantime if anyone can help with either a drawing, a manual or even spares it would be highly appreciated. Parts i need are: trigger which is missing, fill connector which is damaged, i managed to get most of the other parts from Silco who took Brocock's inventory when they were sold to Daystate. Also Brocock has a new number 0844 8009905, i think there are not many people their now hence my problem reaching Paul, i will try again tomorrow when i have more time.

I will keep you updated as to my progress.

Strewth. Chuck all the bits in the nearest skip and get yourself a Weihrauch springer. You know it makes sense... :p

Hi John and welcome to the forum. My shooting buddy has a Brocock, Enigma I think, and it is also in need of some TLC, after he lent it to a neighbour. Two RFD's have told him they can send it away for repair, but it won't be cheap. So good luck with renovation and we look forward to the pics.

By the way, a good Weihrauch is only as good as the after market tune, or tuning kit you have installed.:p:p

Got through to Paul at Brocock yesterday, had an interesting conversation with him regarding the Hunter, the action of this gun was produced in Serbia apparently and was basically a copy of the old Daystate Midas, i assume that is the version with the brass tube, so if anyone has either a manual, drawing or exploded view of that i would love to get hold of a copy. It started to be sold by Brocock 2005 / 2006. Thing are becoming clearer now, but i still do not have access to any documentation that will allow me to do a full strip down, I intend to do this properly, which includes re-bluing everything, it will probably cost me more than what it is worth, but hey ho. Again if anyone has any bits for this please let me know.

Guys, i like the challenge, finally got al the damaged setscrews out yesterday, new placements all on order along with numerous hammer springs, i understand your sentiments about a good Weihrauch, i have had several, HW35, 99s, 57,77 and a 95, my favorite was without doubt the HW35 in 177. wish i had never sold it. I like to tinker, so went for something a little different, fed of just turning out top hats, spring guides etc.picture will start coming next week. If anyone knows of a BSA Hornet going cheap i would be very interested in one of those.

Hunter now completely disassembled, taken loads of pictures on the way, quite a simple design, but this one has been badly interfered with none of the springs were original, all had been bodged to fit, may have been powerful but i imagine pretty inconsistent and hungry for air.

Stock and safety has arrived now in the process of locating the remainder of the parts required, challenging, but nevertheless will be good when finished. I hope. I know you guys think i am mad but heyho. By the way if anyone needs any parts fro one of these contact Silco they are really helpful. Pictures coming soon.
