Can't remember who it was that said that you can't hit the side of a barn, let alone the barn door with them HW's Oh it were moi! You seem to have the exception that proves that rule rmb.:p Very tidy shooting and a challenge for me on my next visit to the range.

Thanks for the compliment GDFB, your TX 0.22 with the 3-12x50 seems to be the exact equivalent of my HW97 .22 3-9x50. post some targets!!

I shot this one to-day at Mr tells.
P1050696.JPG
5 shots at 44 yards.
I was quite pleased with that.
Then spent some time trying to hit some golf balls at 64 yards, I could not hit them so I put an A4 target out at the same range and found I was aiming about 2 mildots low, I thought I was going High but I must have been seeing the pellet at the top of its arc, After changing my aim point the golf balls were hit. I even managed to knock the bull out of the target with a few a bit further out but still in the red.

Wahoo

Lovely outside. While I'm enjoying my coffee.
1am finish this morn after a bit of a party, the diff to targets is as Kaff and all trendies would say BOOM!
Roland thought the hunters were heavier but they're not. They hit so much harder, proven by a spade flat side up, planted just beyond the apple trees. This is the poo shoveller so brown and crusty, shows splat marks very lovely.
Bet you Zombies not tried that trick!
Anyway, bigger dents with pointies and a bit lower, and more accurate too.
Just because of the more squeezed in tight fit.
The flight arc is diff too, up and over the top instead of swerving round, all curvy flighted to port n starboard.
Strangely accuracy performance using either type pellet varies at different ranges, complicated! My guess is, the inferior target regularity of the round Diablo compared to Hunters is simply down to the pellet average size. Diablo being all over, sipping and sliding. If it was a whistle it would be a different tune.

I do not know if the flyers;) are my fault (likely) or the pellets fault (possibly) All the pellets are unsorted and the fit in the barrel is some times noticeably different.
I could weigh them but I can't be arsed.

Well I don't dish out praise very often only to novices to keep them at it. But over the time you have joined the forum as yes a novice but was willing to listen to advice. I now can say I HATE you and if I was in a match against you I would have to give 100% of my experience in free style target shooting to BEAT you well done grass hopper take a pat on the back and PLEASE chip in with advice to new novices joining the forum as there's nothing any one on here can now teach you in target shooting well done. O MASTER

P's Sun Shade from your long post .

Directed more at information for a novice then you esteem self sir.

So called Sun Shade.
They were not designed to keep direct sun rays out of scope more anti Glear then any thing stems from sun rays hitting polished bluing on rifle barrel sun hits it and reflected stright into the scope and as well sun ray's would reflect off the scope glass and would alert quarry so I personally think they should have been named anti Glare Shade.
There's nothing wrong with leaving them on but just remember to clean your glass as some weired things can find there way up that tunnel and die there or lay eggs gummy bears are renowned to do this on Revenge
