Hi there,Can anyone help me with how to assemble the trigger unit and spring on my Haenel Model 303. I have had this since 1970 and have just stripped it down, cleaned it up and reblued all the parts.I have fitted new spares that I obtained from an excellent website in Germany the address is www.sportwaffen-schneider.de They have loads of spares for Haenel but the site is all in German so I used Google to translate.Anyhow as the trigger spring on my gun was broken I have a replacement on order and can anyone tell me how it fits into the trigger mechanism??Does the long leg of the spring go inside the pressed steel trigger to engage in the slot of the sear or,does it go on the outside of the trigger with the coiled part of the spring on the pips on the trigger and the receiver unit??Hope someone can advise me on this problem.Regards to you all "Gizmo"

Have you checked on YouTube, Google, etc.?
Many thanks for your reply I have tried Google and YouTube but there are no close ups of where the trigger spring fits.I have a parts drawing from Chambers Gunsmiths and a manual on air gun maintenance and repair but as I said there are no pictures of the trigger spring anywhere that I have been able to find.I have found spare springs in the UK from £7-50 to £8-50 each but in Germany they are only €4.95 each but I can't find any pictures of the position of the trigger spring anywhere.Regards Gizmo

Hi there CH I have trawled the WWW before contacting the names that you gave me and I found an article describing the complete disassembly of a Haenel Model 303.There are lots of photos one of which shows the complete trigger unit and safety linkage.I have now finally found out where about the spring goes by enlarging the photo so as soon as I receive my spares from Germany I can reassemble the gun and hope that the new parts give me good service.I enclose a screenshot of the trigger unit.Regards and thanks for all your help, Gizmo.
