The Sea to Summit Pack Tap is a versatile and practical water container ideal for camp and group usage, and is available in 2 sizes (4 or 10 litre), in colours green and red.
Made from 210 denier nylon, the tough exterior has Hyperlon anchor points to securely strap the pack tap to your kayak, canoe, rucksack, bike etc., and webbing loops to hang up the pack tap when in camp.
On the back of the pack tap there is a zip, behind which you find the silvered food safe, tough plastic/Mylar foil bladder, and printed filling instructions. On the front of the pack tap there is the easy-to-use, self- shutting valve which can be used single-handed for simplicity.
The valve is removed to fill the bladder and there is a security cap to cover the valve to keep it clean (and to stop accidental operation) when not in use.
Tough and light, durable and abrasion resistant, the pack tap is flexible, can be folded for low bulk storage, and can even be inflated to make a pillow at night.
I tried out the green coloured 4-litre pack tap which measures approx 300mm x 300mm empty and weighs only about 150g, yet gives more than enough water for a solo campers daily needs (well, mine at least) and costs around £17.50. The larger model is for group use. Replacement bladders are available at around £6.49 for the 4 litre pack tap.
