Sunday Afternoons Charter Hat

Sunday Afternoons Charter Hat

Sunday Afternoons Charter Escape Hat
Kindly supplied for review by Man O Leisure. (www.manoleisure.com)

Fabric: 100% Nylon, UPF 50+, Sunglass Lock, Dark underbrim, Floats in water,
Hidden crown pocket, Wicking sweatband, Adjustable chinstrap, Water & stain resistant.

The hat supplied was large size but had good adjustment in the sweatband so fitted me ok.

I tried it on a hot day at one of our Dartmoor camps and found it to be good at keeping me reasonably cool in full sunshine. I understand that you can soak the hat in water which helps to keep you cooler.
I didn’t try soaking it as the hat will be passed on to a lucky new owner at some point.

As with any article made entirely from man made fibre there is a worry that it may be a bit sweaty in hot weather but I didn’t find it a problem. It is lightweight and very well made. The sunglass locations in the rim hold the arms of your glasses well and the dark underside of the brim is a handy idea to stop glare. Overall I found it to be a good quality lightweight hat.
