Welsh Airgun Association [WAA]

The Welsh Airgun Association is the Welsh governing body for the sports of Air Rifle Shooting, Air Pistol Shooting, Cartridge Pistol Shooting, Target Crossbow, 10m Running Target and Bell Target.

Membership is open to anyone who satisfies Welsh nationality criteria:
  • born in Wales and/or
  • of Welsh parentage and/or
  • resident in Wales for a minimum of 2 years
The WAA is a member body of the Welsh Target Shooting Federation (WTSF) Limited, an umbrella organisation which was set up to be the central point for communication with the Sports Council for Wales and the Commonwealth Games Council for Wales.

The other member bodies of the WTSF are the Welsh Small-bore Rifle Association (WSRA), the Welsh Clay Target Shooting Association (WCTSA) and the Welsh Rifle Association (WRA).

The WTSF is the co-ordinating body for facility development as well as being the nominating body for the Commonwealth Games team members.
