1. wear neutral colours, no yellows, red, orange, pink, black or camo. these colours will make you stand out in a crowd. a dark coloured T shirt and a pair of jeans will blend in nicely.
2. don't wear a hat. the majority of people these days go bare headed so anyone wearing a hat may stand out in a crowd.
3. avoid eye contact. making eye contact may make some people remember you. the idea is not to be noticed.
4. don't walk too fast or too slowly and definitely don't run!!
5. keep your valuables hidden, such as jewellery, electronics, cash, cards etc.
not doing so makes you a target for muggers.
6. don't take pictures or videos.
7.stick to areas of cover, don't stand out in the open.
8. avoid choke points such as bridges, tunnels, stadiums, parks, stores, hotel lobby's, train stations, airports etc.
9.check a street visually before proceeding.
