Al and I have been away on a two night hammock camp , fridays weather was poor but last night and today were fine .

Just our usual operation , hammocks up , admin area up , wine opened , fire and food on and chill .....,.

Collected additional water from Hayburn Wyke ( not sure about the colour but we are both still alive ) .

Way too much food again but the star of the show was Al’s half leg of lamb slow roasted on a Coffey spit 👍

We put the world to rights , planned our attendance on the Scotland trip and developed an idea for a two night bike camp .

All in all a restful and much needed getaway , you can’t beat a weekend in the woods 😀

It was s well needed getaway, too much wine, is there such a thing lol, good company and food as usual, location was as usual great, you can't beat s bit of coastline even if we were just out of sight of it, scouted the next site for better views, I'll post some pics up when I get chance.

What do you get out of it, this camping lark, no idea :D

My set up was overkill with the cocoon but it was snug.

Twas a great weekend and can't wait to do it again :)
Another great trip to the wilderness

Its strange isn't it .....some stoves you just gel with.....others just don't do it for you
Someone will snap it up mate.

Have you got another stove in mind?

Hopefully it will sell, it has the big stainless pot with it and everything fits inside that for transport so should be a nice extra touch for someone but before I do sell it I'm going to try a few different fuel types in it. As for new stove, I'm slowly but surely moving back over to gas and like @Madriverrob jetboil set up, Firemaple do a similar set up so it might be that, who knows ?

Might be worth trying some wood pellets with charcoal smashed up and mixed in Al......if you have not already done that?
A lot to be said for gas......instant and better heat control....less hassle and easy.

Yeah tried both but not mixed, will try that and was gonna try some dry kindling to see what sort of burn and burn time I get from it, just trying to give the stove a chance but it will be going lol
