Day camp by the river
The plan for today was to:

• Practice some tree identification
• Try out an Arrowhead tarp configuration
• Try out an alternative method for creating feather-sticks (This worked but I got no footage due to a failed camera battery)
• Have some lunch
• Drink coffee

Used these extensively for ridge lines with good effect......no knots to form or untie with cold hands.
Quick and efficient to deploy.......very easy to adjust the ridgeline if you need too.......great tension achievable.

OK first video:

• at 03:33 Is this aspen? I tried to ID it with my Collins Gem Trees book but failed miserably. I don't think the buds look right for aspen.
• 12:46 What is this plant? Wild garlic? If so there will be loads of it soon.
