A lucky escape ......

Last night SWMBO invited me to get up early , drive to Leeds and spend the day walking around Ikea. I’d rather eat my own hand I thought to myself and having recently done some decorating, called in my get out of jail free card and stated I needed to go fishing , she fell for it and this morning saw me up and out before she could change her mind .
I spent the day at my usual pond , fishing was quiet but I managed to keep catching and fish of the day was a nice tench of about a pound and a half .
By mid afternoon I I’d decided to try something different and moved to a secret location to try out my new hand line , but more of that in a separate thread later

Spot on could be doing with a day like yours

Av tried for tench a few times and on caught little ones. A would be happy with that size mate

The only redeeming feature is the meatballs in the scran hall. They do cheap candles too I suppose.

Hell with extra meatballs....I also like the pickled herring. We had an account with a firm called Shearer for candles, they're nice people to do business with if you're ever in need of a large amount of candles with a high percentage beeswax.

What set up do you use rob?

They were caught using float fished maggots . Pond is quite shallow but well stocked .
