Easy now! The animal beaver šŸ™„

Iā€™ve heard about beaver being round these parts but Iā€™ve never came across any signs of them , until nowā€¦.

Might have to go out without buddy and see if I canā€™t snap a picture of the furry chainsaw šŸ˜

Any dammed up streams nearby where they could be building a lodge?

Didnā€™t see anything that resembled a lodge Mike, There is a more wild area thatā€™s not maintained it starts 50/60 yards upstream from the trees in the pictures. The thing I found strange is where the beaver has been chewing the trees , itā€™s right next to the foot path ā€¦ granted the area doesnā€™t have much traffic at certain times of the day but thereā€™s always someone with a dog there .

Mark, there's a report here with maps starting on page 35 of beaver activity in the Tay region which might confirm your assessment.
Some of the images on pages 24/25 do seem very similar to those you've posted too.

We have a few Here in Devon Mark......along and around the river"Otter" near "Budleigh Salterton"

They call them ā€œThe Otter Beaverā€. I just cannot wait for them to be introduced to The Itchen! šŸ¤”
