A very simple hydroponics experiment

I seen this on a youtube video and gave it a go, just cut the spring onion where it starts to go green and pop it into a glass of water

this is after 2 weeks

The never ending onion! I haven't gotten around to trying this but I just love the idea of an onion that grows over and over again. Here is a great page with instructions on how to re-grow an onion from its leftover bottom.

been looking at hydroponics alot since seeing it years ago on DOOMSDAY PREPPERS but dont like fish haha saw someone do it with shrimp once might be an idea.

Even more certain to strike if you cut off a decent thick slice of potatoe with the eyes on.

One of my little group is obsessed with planting spuds. The group go camping, we have spuds...off he goes with a couple and finds a spot to plant. He does the same with garlic and onions plus strawberries and baby toms. Lovely fella and we served together but...he reminds me a lot of

That said, if it hit the fan I'd want him close by again
