An afternoon 'doon the glen' with my mate Stevie.

We started near the old Calderglen Castle site, made a few trips down to the river to find a crossing

point and eventually crossed just north of Calderwood Linn (Castle Falls (7m)).

We found a flat spot and built a wee fire to boil water for our coffee and to cook our sausages, onion

and some of the wild garlic which was growing nearby.

After a hearty lunch we sat around a while until the fire burned down then we put it out tidied up and

headed back across the river and home via the ruin of the Calderwood Mausoleum site.

A nice wee afternoon in the woods :)
