An old project

I was rummaging and cleaning out my shed yesterday evening and an old project fell into my hands

It was or will be a Bowie knife I started and promised my cousin about two maybe 3 years ago….so it’s back on top of the pile for me to play with when I have spare moment,,,, this thread could be running for a while I will update as I go

Had a play with it just there…. Blade is ready to be treated and tempered ( am sure the Wif will be pleased when I’m using her hairdryer for the coals ),,, and I’m currently arguing with myself on what shape to make the guard

Guard filled,Dry fit and hole drilled,,,, not bloody easy doing everything with a file , but enjoying it nun the less ,, should have made the blade bigger me thinks a well lol
