Nice little 6 miler with the Missus this morning ..... Blakey Topping is a strange looking free standing hill close the the Hole of Horcum in the North Yorkshire Moors national park ... close by is RAF Fylingdales , one of the UK’s early warning radar stations ....

Oh mine has a couple, even takes a bijou one to work with her. She's got her 'big one' which is about 40L (bless..) which she uses when we're travelling anywhere but try getting her to carry one when we're on a long walk.... nah, that's my 'part of ship' apparently.

Really loved those pics of that chilly morning walk through spectacular UK countryside. Blakely Topping is intriguing. Is it a natural hill? I'll look it up online...

Rob you failed to mention that Blakely Topping has standing stones ( l looked on google!) . I find that stuff fascinating.... UK has such an intriguing cultural heritage...

There are lots of standing stones here in North Yorkshire, there is an interesting story from around that area .... have a google of Hole of Horcum ... that will likely be my next walk
