Thought I'd start a thread for book recommendations
I've read these recently and enjoyed them.
In the first two (EMP event apocalypse novels) the main character is a young man who has relatively easy access to the wilderness so uses some skills to survive and defend against the baddies he encounters. It does always make me wonder about the chances of survival in a town or city in a country where there isn't much wilderness though.
The Longest Night - A Post-Apocalyptic EMP Survivalist Story (Enter Darkness Book 1) by K. M. Fawkes
I read all 5 short books in this series
The Alaskan Chronicles: The Provider by John Hunt
Survive by David Haynes
I'd be interested in other links to non-zombie type survival stories although admittedly they are often much of a muchness.
