My quest to do at least one overnight per month led me back to Brockwell Wood with Al . We arrived in style Friday afternoon and completed a short hike into the woods , safe to say we were not travelling light with enough food for a week as well as beer and whiskey .

Friday afternoon / evening saw camp prep and chilling out around the fire .

Saturday saw much the same with a bit of exploring and chatting to other campers and “Dave” ( name changed for security reasons ) who lives on site !

Al tried to attract some crayfish and gave his water filter a go whilst I lazed around camp .....

Sadly Al had to leave Saturday evening leaving me alone slightly worried as I have been binge watching the walking dead at home !

I enjoyed the fire , a veritable feast and the remnants of my whiskey before a second great nights sleep in the hammock .

Sunday saw me up early , brew and boiled eggs , packed up and on my way home by 9am .

Great camp with top company , roll on March ......

Here’s a few pics ...,,,,

Nice pictures mate, I didn't take any this time around, sorry I had to leave :( that fire looks a belter though, look forward to the next one, somewhere, and lighter ;) 88l worth of sleeping equipment, cloths etc and 44l bag of food and cooking might be a tad over spec'ed :D (each)

Hi guys. I am somewhat regular at Brockwell. I was talking to Steph about camping at the end of March. She mentioned 'the bushcrafters' Coming which led me to find this forum. So, what will you be up to? Hope to still come that weekend and say hello. I'll be bringing my kids for a trial of a new tepee and stove.

Hi Dave, we're not the ones hosting the meet, it's a Facebook group called North East. Bushcraft and Wild Camping UK, we got talking to a guy near the meet site, iirc it's on the 24th, I'm a member of the group but didn't know they met there :)

BTW, pop into the intro thread and say hi, you'll get seen better there :)
