Charlestown

Thought we would share some pictures of "Charlestown" a place we visited during on a recent trip to Carlyon Bay.

There are a few seafarers on the forum who might appreciate the pictures........and the Beauty of the ships and harbour.
Its a place that definitely takes you back in time.....even though we visited here a few years ago......never grow tired of the atmosphere.

Sat and had a nice leisurely lunch there.

It certainly is that Rob.......if ever you are down this way it is worth a visit.
Fishing not bad from the harbour wall apparently.
Couple of nice Hotels if you don't fancy camping.
We may book in one of the hotels for a nice winters trip when its howling and the waves are crashing in over the walls

If we lived closer....I would have no hesitation volunteering to do a bit of maintenance work on the ships.....preparing.....varnishing and painting.....it would be a total labour of love and so enjoyable and rewarding to do.

Not on this occasion mate.... We have been there before and went into the museum then..... As you say mate lots of interesting stuff in there and worth a look.

A stunning place.

Never been there Bill but definitely my kind of place because I love the tall ships, saw a whole regatta of about 15 or more at Felixstowe one year
