Thought we would share some pictures of "Charlestown" a place we visited during on a recent trip to Carlyon Bay.

There are a few seafarers on the forum who might appreciate the pictures........and the Beauty of the ships and harbour.
Its a place that definitely takes you back in time.....even though we visited here a few years ago......never grow tired of the atmosphere.

Sat and had a nice leisurely lunch there.

Looks fabulous , what an atmospheric place :thumbsup:

@Madriverrob

It certainly is that Rob.......if ever you are down this way it is worth a visit.
Fishing not bad from the harbour wall apparently.
Couple of nice Hotels if you don't fancy camping.
We may book in one of the hotels for a nice winters trip when its howling and the waves are crashing in over the walls :notlistening: :thumbsup:

I thought " fishing " as soon as I saw your photos :)

If we lived closer....I would have no hesitation volunteering to do a bit of maintenance work on the ships.....preparing.....varnishing and painting.....it would be a total labour of love and so enjoyable and rewarding to do. :thumbsup:

A stunning place.
Never been there Bill but definitely my kind of place because I love the tall ships, saw a whole regatta of about 15 or more at Felixstowe one year
