It is mate , it’s only short but handled those fish really well , made for fantastic sport if not a few twitchy bum moments as they took the bait and fired off across the pond . The rigged and ready rod combos are well worth a look

It’s a travel rod by definition but seems very capable , I wanted a rod that would go in my suitcase for holidays …. Gives me bait , lure , fly , coarse and saltwater and now carp fishing too , it’s really well made , casts well , is responsive and seems to handle fish well …. Can’t wait to get it abroad and try some lagoon and light rock fishingUsed the rig a couple of times rob , cracking rig for the right conditions as you will know … you should give the solid bag a go buddy, it’s a bit footery but it’s easily done after a few go’s

If you decide to get one I’d go for the full Monte … x5 adventure… comes with a reel , spare spool and fly reel … look for discount code too ….Am convinced
