We had breakfast and a brew, packed up, Rob had a prior commitment for Saturday night so I dropped him home and headed to Runswick Bay, 3 pints in the hotel to whet the appetite and I was off down the beach. It had started to rain on the walk up the steps up the Cleveland Way, I was getting damp so threw on my poncho tarp, it worked a treat, got to my desination and threw the DD up for shelter, view from it looking back to Runswick Bay.

Tea was cooked, a couple of thin steaks, very nice on a store bought bbq, I had split the coals to use some later that night, raised up to leave no scar :)

And after a shot or 3 of whiskey and a few beers time to turn in, this is where what had been a great 2 days went South, I had only taken daft wire pegs, 2 of these pulled out in high winds about 3 a.m. I got up and repitched and went back to sleep, 5 a.m. saw trouble, the guy out on the centre seam on the top left of the picture had been rubbing against the wall and broke in two, n00b error that saw me packing up, muttering to myself lol

All packed up, leave no trace, and off I went.

The small waterfall at the base of the steps, the water I have filtered and drank before :)

Yeah twas a shame, I did give you like 3 days notice si it should have been enough for you to juggle your whole life lmao, next time I'll try and give more, sorry but when SWMBO says I have a pass then out I must go :)

Looks great, I do love seeing how folk rig their tarps differently, I guess that's where the tarp has the advantage over a tent. Need to get out again..... SMURF !!!!!!!
