On Saturday I went out with my daughter and we did our last wildcamp of the year.
We went to our go to spot of between Lossie and Kingston and once there got about collecting fire wood of which there was plenty washed up driftwood.

After getting the tent up I got the fire set up then got my daughter to light it and waited for it to get ready for cooking. I had brought some nice steaks as a treat for the last camp so cooked them with onions sliced tatties and mushrooms.

After food I had bought some magic fire powder which was copper sulphate and put it on the fire to change the flames to blue. It worked OK but wasn't something I would do again as it can't be done if cooking on the fire. The camera didn't pick up the colour very well.

After my daughter went to bed I had a couple of beers and a wee dram before making sure the fire was out and hitting the sack. It was a very mild night and the breeze kept the tent dry from condensation.

Next morning because of the wind I cooked breakfast in the lookout nearby.

Then it was pack up time leaving no trace.
We were both glad to have completed our year of wildcamping at least once each month but it was tinged with sadness that it was over.
It will be good to camp next year without the pressure of time which sometimes made the challenge difficult.

We plan to camp whenever we want to without counting the days of the month.
I would like to do some long walks with camping .
I'm always looking for new places to wildcamp as well as I always tend to go to the same places I already know.
