Scotland Devilla

Pushed it back 24 hours Bill. Ricky has a couple things to sort and I figured by the time I was getting out there it was going to be getting dark and fire wood prep might be iffy so will head out mid afternoon the morrow. Bag was already packed and I'd banged in a couple of immodium in anticipation, kind of realised it would make more sense to postpone as I was out with the dugs watching the sun disappear. Can top up the immodium and carry on tomorrow. At least I'll miss the Scotland game, after Thursday, I'll be happy to swerve it. :(

@Bam @Forest wanders

Hope you guys manage the outing today......if the weather up there is anything like here you will have a nice walk in......... and trip.
Don't forget the photos boys.......even if it is Devilla......AGAIN :rofl: :rofl: 🤭 :p :p

Cheers Bill, think it will just be me tonight, well me and a dug. I'm trialling the medium 'bit' of the pongo sleeping system, not sure what I'll be taking on me and Smurf's 5 dayer in a couple weeks so want to test both parts. Can pack a softy suit if I'm taking the light weight bag, that will be the next trial. Got scran and got vino, anything else is a bonus. :)

Aye up Bam :)

How did you get on with the Medium bag set up?............ will you take on your 5 dayer with Smurf or no?
Scran and Vino......well thats ok then :rofl:

Hi Bill, the bag was toasty, no complaints there, I'll see if I can put some pictures up of the trip, I usually get a message telling me they're too large.

Some pictures, trying from the phone but can't really see what I've loaded on.

Nice pictures Bam......you look to be nicely tucked away in the woods.
Nice fire shots too :thumbsup:

Thanks for sharing.

It is a nice wee spot, plenty room for a wee gathering of the clans too. Sorry the phots are just a bit of a jumble, uploading on my phone let me put more up but because they were that wee, I really couldn't make out what they were off. :lol:

None of the sleeping bag, I was going to take some more phots in the morning but it was raining so just packed up and headed out, didn't even bother with a coffee. The bag was good though, quite bulky and I don't think I packed the rucksack very well so it was full but not an issue for an overnighter. I want to give the light weight bag a go as its a lot more compact as you'd expect, want to keep the weight (and bulk) down as much as I can when we're doing the multi day trip. Have this weekend to try the light weight one, assuming I'm allowed out to play. :)
