So looking to buy a bargain prices drinks vessel to carry my ale in.what can I use.i wanted a beer growler in stainless but are way too expensive.needs to keep it cool for a while not warm.any ideas.tganks

Stanley do a beer Growler 1.6l and 1.9l for around £30 . Try amazon and the bay .
I guess it depends on how much you want to spend .

Something around the £20 mark.im not a big drinker but would like to take a growler so about 1.5 litre would do.but needs to fit into my pack

I think the trickiest part will be the self-cooling feature. There are some reviews on backpacker.com I read some time ago, see here:

Just out of curiosity: Don't you have streams around which may help cool your beer? I usually put mine just in creeks to have a chilled beer in the evening.
