With the Scotland trip in mind mostly........but also if I get out for a look elsewhere.
At this time of the year when its damp and wet.....any help you can get lighting a fire is a bonus:thumbsup:
Clean and easy to use

Fire biscuits.

Makeup removal pads from boots or where ever (large size)
Some cheap candles.
Paraffin-based lamp oil.
Old saucepan.
( Understanding wife or partner )

Gently heat the candles in the pan till they melt ( temperature control....no rush )
Add half a dozen cap fulls of lamp oil to the molten wax....if you have a lot of wax....add more oil.
Take the pads and soak them one at a time in the molten mixture until they can take no more.
Using tweezers lift them out and let the excess wax run off back into your pan.
Lay them on some tin foil to set.........and there you have it.....fire biscuits:thumbsup:

To use, just tear and expose the fluffy interior, spark from the steel and away it goes.
Burns for a good 7 or so minutes.
Have handed a few of these around at the meets, and they go down a treat.

Spot on

Farting near a campfire could be more dangerous than Russian roulette, a dangerous combination indeed.
..."and all we found were his boots"..."and some spicy smelling smoke"...
Are you saying Bill has gone up in a puff of smoke:eek::eek::eek:
