You folks may well be familiar with this but thought I'd share my device for cutting logs into the required length for your woodburner or rayburn or whatever, can make it to suit, just stack the stuff in and run down through it with the chainsaw, jobs a goodun! Won't go far wrong with a gransfors bruks splitting axe either!

I have something similar using four T stakes and a couple of sacrificial logs at the bottom to keep the firewood off the ground and keep the chain bar out of the dirt.
