Most fish you buy from a fishmonger can be on the stiff side especially Scottish salmonThe competition is going to be stiff I see!

No idea, I've never been thereWhat size is the carp lake/pond/puddle?
@Ystranc ^^Is there a fishery at the meet in May boys?
I've got no hair to wash, you pair of miscreants.Ok the carp puddle is a high altitude lake contained by two small dams. it’s called Pant y Llyn, it is about 8 acres when the level is at its highest. This is a link to it

Just to point out these are wild carp at Pan y Llyn, there is a more densely stocked carp lake at Llandrindod wells about 7 miles away. Easy access from parking on the road, well maintained and very well stocked.I've got no hair to wash, you pair of miscreants.
That's a freeking big puddle.
Is it ok to wash my pate there?Just to point out these are wild carp, there is a more densely stocked carp lake at Llandrindod wells about 7 miles away. Easy access from parking on the road, well maintained and very well stocked.
You need a rod licence and day pass for either of the lakes, if you have a fly rod there are also trout and salmon in the Wye and Irfon rivers, there is also course fishing on part of the local club waters. Is it ok to wash my pate there?
Will I need a rod licence on the other lake?
It's about 4 years since my gear has come anywhere near H2o, I picked up one of my bait runners by the 8lb line that's on it and the fecking line broke,You need a rod licence and day pass for either of the lakes, if you have a fly rod there are also trout and salmon in the Wye and Irfon rivers, there is also course fishing on part of the local club waters.
If you fancied fly fishing at a reservoir there are the Elan valley dams about half an hours (fast drive) away. Craig Goch is the most remote of them but probably the most Beautiful and best stocked with brown trout, rod licence and day pass required, the last time I fished there there was a bag limit of two trout
I never get time to fish these days, I used to fish of the beach at Formby every single day. It's about 4 years since my gear has come anywhere near H2o, I picked up one of my bait runners by the 8lb line that's on it and the fecking line broke,
dropping the reel to the concrete and snapping the bail arm strut. Was not a happy camper.
I have never done any fly fishing Mike, maybe time for someone to teach me.If you fancied fly fishing at a reservoir there are the Elan valley dams about half an hours (fast drive) away.
