I own two gas burners and I use them from time to time, mainly on touristic camping grounds.
But If I can, I light a proper wood fire, like my ancestors did it in the good old days in Neandertal!

But I agree, these all and everything burners from Primus and MSR, (if I'm right ?) are very cool stuff!
I always watch them in the shop, like other people look at Bentleys and Porsches!

But for my rucksack that's simply to heavy.
Should I ones a day buy a propper car, may be I'll buy such a burner too.

The beauty of the Trangia Storm Cooker system is that its an all in one solution for camp cooking. The windshield is second to none, it thrives in high winds and once you know what your doing with the simmer ring you get a good cooking time on one fill of meths. The Trangia gas insert works OK but I prefer to mount a liquid fuel burner which just clicks into place replacing the meths burner. Using the burner from an Omnifuel gives the option of using gas but I have one set with the burner from one of these left all the time in a Trangia 25 APG 1000Ml Outdoor Gasoline Stove Multi-Purpose Camping Oil And Gas Stove Fue D1 193571341143 | eBay

That sounds very interesting.

I think this is worth an one thread with picture story!
