Absolutely blinding time, way better than I could have expected
River levels very low, but the sun lanced through the canopy to both light up the shallow river bed and reflect in the leaves above, beautiful, and plenty of small chub about
Trying out a newish boat, the first time solo-ing it, worked very well; we went off exploring a few possible camp spots, so a lot of jumping in and out of the boats, and Banzai cooked up some lovely bacon an tomato wraps, before determining that as it was so lovely a day, we should practice capsizing and reentering flooded boats.......or at least see what happens. What happened was an hour of riotous fun
falling out of boats and trying to get back in.......and occasionally succeeding
.
We eventually camped in an idyllic spot, or worked as such at the time, although had to bag up someone elses litter and bring it home
.
Grand nights kip with the Muntjac barking, satellites and shooting stars in the night sky, and showers in the night.
Sting rucksack was an eye opener and could well userp my beloved modified LK. One Tigris Smokey Huts were perfect, and all was good. A very short early morning (was that serene or what!!?!)paddle to the pull out and cars......like a dripping, misty, still jungle......
