Yes I know..... Axe porn!

Ive tried MANY axes in the past but my go to axe at home is always my GF Scandinavian, its just ace!
With that in mind Im looking at buying a couple more, the small forest so I can strap it to the frame on my LK35 ( the Scandinavian is a little bit too big ) & the Hand Hatchet...... well... just because!

I doubt anyone here has a spare one lying round their not using but I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction of where to pick them up for the best price?

The HH will be my xmas present from the wife (she knows me so well!!!) but she's not sure where to get it from hence me posting here.
The SFA is just me buying somthing for me..... Ive been a very good boy this year and deserve it!

Any advice as always is both welcome and appreciated :)

What do we recon? Worth a punt?

Ive set it at 120 for the min...... dare I go higher? Whats the going rate for a SFA?

just looking quickly all three items can be had new from Ray Mears site for £170 ........
SFA is listed at £99
Probably cheaper elsewhere also so £120 would be tops for me but I guess its how much you want one .....

Sound advice, an thanks for the RM prices! Ill leave it at 120 as the additional suff was just added extras and not what I was originally after.
If it goes above 120 (which I fully expect it to, ill jump on RM an hit the BIN button :)

I use auction sniper, it means that the bid goes in 5 seconds before the auction ends, even if you forget or get cut off. As long as you're comfortable with paying your maximum bid it can mean that you don't push the price up before the end of the auction.

Don't blame me, it's you that sets the maximum bid...if you don't win it there will be another along soon enough. I find the trick with auctions is to know what you're happy to pay and not get carried away with the moment

Outbid with 3 hours to go, which im perfectly ok with :)

May go down the RM route an just hit BIN but will make that decision tomorrow.

STAY TUNED KIDS!

Try a google search there were retailers at less than £99 when I looked ....

Does anyone have a SFA? Does yours have a small metal wedge at 45 degrees securing the main wedge? My Scandinavian does an I thought the SFA did as well.......

I do mate. I Also thought why mine didn’t have one...so I contacted gransfors. They stopped putting them in because it came to light they made no difference at all...according to them...I was told they done plenty of tests and all was well......:)

That’s a beautiful fireplace in the background mate :D

You can get them at any hardware shop for between 10 and 20 pence if you want to fit one. I also cut all my axe heads flush when I fit new but that is only my personal preference.
