Not sure if this is the right place but here's some pics of today's bonfire. My lunchtime brew and the reduced pile. All from the Camelia garden which has been heavily pruned.

We only have three camelias. They were originally in a knackered greenhouse for some reason. We moved them fifteen years ago. They didn't enjoy the move but all three have completely forgiven us now and produce wonderful displays of deep pink flowers each year.
You're doing something that will look bloody fantastic in a couple of years Dick... Nice one!

You have a job and a half on your hands there…we are about to remove a cherry Laurel from along the drive at the same time as cutting the rhododendron hedge back to stumps in an attempt to improve the access. The plan is to try and do the job in two parts. Chainsaw and burn 🔥 rhododendrons first then the cherry laurel the following day while the fire is still hot from the day before.

Good work.

I holiday down your neck of the woods.
We always walk over to ‘Elderberry’ Cove as it is dog permissible and relatively quiet. Nice place.

This year we discovered the little Brixham Battery museum. It looks like a lot of work had been done there to clear the nearby woodland/park.

Know that such work it is appreciated by visitors. 👍🏻

I’ve just realised where you are working.

We usually walk from Galmpton overland and through woodland to Dartmouth then catch a boat back to Dittisham or Greenway and walk back to Galmpton.

It’s a lovely area. 👍🏻

Watch out for the cyanide!😳😆

I spent part of the afternoon clearing a bit of the drive and reclaiming it from Mother Nature, I’m taking it easy and doing 40-50 foot at a time…I should be done by spring if any of the members wish to come to Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 for another meet at my place for some Springtime squirrel bashing.

Very possible for me 👍🏻👍🏻
