Guess what today's diy project is

Completed. Just need to take on a walk to test properly rather than walking in circles round the garden. Paint isn't very good, chipping and flaking already on the uprights that used to be a pair of crutches. Maybe get better quality paint and give a sand to key the surface first. Want to get some handlebar tape to wrap the wooden hand grips too.

Used wilko black spray enamel. Stuck to the steel but not the ally?

Should have Mentioned the name lol....Rust olium (check spelling lol) spray paint. Best for ally

To be honest Jon it will probs get bashed up on your travels any way. So who cares about what paint . gives it a bit of character anyhoo

As @Ark79 says Jon.......the chips in the paint will add character

If it really bugs you...... try and get hold of some "Mordent Solution" for the alloy.....its an etching acid........works well on Galvanise too.
Rinse well with water after application before you spray/paint.

Its looking good mate.....hope the trials go well and it works for you

Just wondering to myself here Jon.......might be worth trying some white vinegar to etch the alloy?........cheap and easier to get hold of.

If it does not work.......use it on your chips
