I'm reasonably sure that this two bladed turnscrew is from the period when flintlocks were in common use. Pity old Keith isn't around to offer an opinion. The one on the side would be for replacing, tightening or adjusting the position of the flint. The more ordinary one would have been for removing the cover plate to access the internal springs and trigger sear.
The flattened hardwood handle is a really tactile pear shape.
All in all a pretty unusual bit of shooting kit.
