Hello to all, my objective here it to meet people I can learn from (as my bush craft skills are rubbish) and socialise with. I tour extensively in the UK and EU on a motorcycle (GSXS1000F), always with a tent on the back and often with my son in tow. Have developed a taste for wild camping during my visits to Scotland.......this has evolved into a hap hazard interest in bushcraft. Tomorrow I am starting a typically unorganised tour of South Wales, leading into Devon and Cornwall. Anyone wishing to meet up en route or suggest any good places to camp is very welcome to get in touch. Thanks, John K

Hello JK, welcome to the forum. All my bike camping has been Sussex,Norfolk, Suffolk, and I'm still a new boy in Wales, so not much help I'm afraid.
I use this site for Biker general info sometimes, might be something there for you?

Welcome to the forum mate, cannae help on the Wales advice as I'm in sunny Scotland. Probably not that much help on the bushcraft either, but if you're up this way I'm happy to share what I know. The Scottish Chapter manage the odd catch up, was supposed to be last weekend but we were all washing our hair (and it was raining), out next weekend, give us a shout if you're back up this way.

Hi and welcome, can't help with the Welsh campsites either sorry, I'm in the North East and until recently got out once a month or so with @Madriverrob unfortunately for the camping work has me busy as at the moment but I feel a long weekend coming soon, anyway I'm waffling, welcome aboard.

Thanks Bam, my sons and I have done the NC500 (ish) a couple of times... Great roads and wild campsites. Also my mum lives in Tain so we get to enjoy a cooked meal and comfy bed half way round. Will give you a shout for some help when we come back up.... But pls give me a shout if your having a meet up as we are often in the Highlands.

Most of the guys who meet up are 'central belt' based, although normally I like to get up the hills with a mate when we can. This year has been a write off for all that though and I've only really stayed fairly local. Offer stands though mate, I don't need much of an excuse to head out so even if you're passing through on your way up to your mum's, can maybe catch up for a wee fire.
