Also a bit of wood for sand paper, 1000 grit then 1200 grit😁

Should mention I used double sided tape rather than glue, 1 because am an inpatient bugger and 2 because i want an even surface with a little give, thought glue would have made it to firm

Can’t help myself 😀 I had another play with the strops this morning, the knife was sharp but iv alway had trouble with taking the edge to shaving sharp, so this time I used the smother side of my DC stone then the 1000 grit followed buy the 1200 and the leather strops, as a result I have less hair on my arm now😉 happy days. The fallkiniven A1 is probably the easiest knife I have had to sharpen. It’s a convex edge so very easy to find the angle to strop, hardly any pressure needed to strop, can you tell am a little impressed with myself 😂

You mind ye fingers....ken? :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Edges should be easy to maintain now you have them Mark......a quick run over the strop and compound in future to maintain them.:thumbsup:
Unless you do any damage of course :(

Are you going for the Flexcut Gold Compound mate?

Fingers are all accounted for sir 😂

A think the flexcut gold is a sound buy mate so yeah that’s the one for me.

also I need to re-profile the tip on my mora carving knife, snapped the blooming thing of trying to carve a hole in a bit of wood, still it allows me to practice getting it back to normal,

How much did you manage to snap off? :(

😡 just found the knife, I didn’t take it out the bag the last time I had it out and I stupidly forgot I packed the the fishing bag away wet 😕 so it’s now rusty, more than just fixing the tip now lol
